When it comes to displaying collections, a little planning goes a long way. Whether they’re favorite items you’ve collected over the years or antique pieces passed down through generations—every piece deserves to be displayed prominently.

Start by grouping your collections together so they make more of an impact. For example, if you have a few pieces from a collection on the fireplace mantle, some on a side table and a few in the entry hall—bring them all together in one place, on one surface. This gives a more organized (and less cluttered) look to your home. Plus, a grouping of several pieces is more visually intriguing and together they make more of a statement.

And, don’t be afraid to mix the old with the new. Blending your antiques (collections and furniture) in with your new furniture and accessories enhances both. A modern piece of artwork over an antique chest updates the chest while creating a clean, refined look.
